After enduring the 20 inches of snow in Connecticut, a week in Tropical Paradise provided a much needed recharge. Thank you for hosting us. The location is superb, the accommodations stellar, the amenities fabulous. Our three year old loved the pool. I spent much time in the kayak, and we all enjoyed the view from the hammock. This was our first trop to the Keys, but it certainly will not be the last. We'll be returning to the cold with very warm memories! Mike, Lara, & Lexie

A million thank you's for a wonderful and relaxing two weeks. Even though we couldn't bring our dogs AND our friends cancelled their trip down here - We had a wonderful time. The Dry Tortugas were a great trip and we really enjoyed the kayaks and pool! We got lots of reading and relaxing done.
Many Thanks, Abbie & Bual, Brunswick, Maine
I cannot say how much we loved this house! We spent one week in this Tropical Paradise. We were 6 people: my husband and I, our 3 children (16,13 and 10) and grandma! There was something to do everyday for everyone! The house was very clean, beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything one needed... The pool was perfect... Even though it is small my 10 year old would spend most of her time in it. The older kids enjoyed the dock fishing and using the kayaks in the bay! We all enjoyed snorkeling just a few miles away from the house and caught some delicious lobsters. We also took day trips to Bahia Honda and Key West which are both just a short trip away! There is a store right down the road for things you might have missed and bait for fishing. The Key next to Cudjoe Key has a Winn Dixie where you can get all your supplies for the week! We enjoyed watching the iguanas sunbathe every morning on the sea wall.. The kids named then Ralph, Zoe and Jasper. We also rented a boat in Summerland Key for 2 days. It worked perfect to go to Looe Key snorkeling and explore nearby islands. We used it to go fishing, lobstering and snorkeling! Shannon has a recommendation folder with all the local restaurants and their menus. This was very helpful. We enjoyed the quietness of the area, sunrises, sunsets and incoming thunderstorms which would only last about 15 min. She also has two other properties next to each other but they all have their own boat dock and private beach access! I do think though that the Tropical Paradise has the most privacy. The house also comes with a washer and dryer which was very handy with kids. We had to contact Shannon about a problem with the pool but she was there in 20 min. and solved it very quickly. Overall I can't wait to go back to this beautiful place again. Thumbs up all the way! Thanks Shannon for this beautiful house!!!

We had a wonderful week here. Your home provided all we needed for comfort. ...
I want to thank you for being so responsive to questions and issues. We enjoyed your home and the area so much!
Thank you Shannon,
Everything was great, the view, quiet, ocean, sunsets, sunrises. The place had everything we needed, very tropical. This was our first visit to the Keys! Beautiful! We will return someday. Dolphins we saw on a boat trip in the wild was great. We also did the Duval crawl, Mallory Square, glass bottom discovery, Butterfly conservatory. Great eats! Teresa & Tommy Ellis
Dear House Book
Been coming down several years as always, Shannon is the best host you could hope for. We do the usual – fishing, diving, drinking, eating, drinking. Being from Orlando we still feel like we are away from it all. Relaxing like a second home here. Always ready to come back
We recommend: Vacation boat rentals – awesome, Hogfish Bar & Grill – Stock Island, A&B Lobster House – Key West, Undersea Diving store
Thanks a ton, Shannon,

Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous home with us. My Aunts and I had an amazing trip. We just didn't want to leave! Hope to come back again sooner rather than later. Once again thank you, Angela Davis
“Couldn't be a better Keys beachfront rental!”
The 2br house and grounds are a perfect Florida Keys experience. And just 20 minutes north of Key West. Lush tropical landscaping provides a very private Caribbean-like environment, with a gorgeous view that overlooks the open ocean from both the pool deck & master BR. House is in excellent condition and fully equipped. And all the hi-quality critical amenities (water sports/restaurants/grocery stores) are just minutes away. We also had perfect weather (mid-May) so I can only say: Excellent! - VRBO Review

What idyllic, lovely days we've spent here. Everything was top notch. Whether we went here, there & everywhere or just vegged out for the day. We loved every minute of it. To bask in the warmth while home (Idaho) was freezing in an uncommon cold snap (2* - 10*), was heavenly. The grounds are lovely, and that you Shannon for the tour. We really enjoyed the bananas. Being able to do laundry, although mundane, was a plus. The house was just the right size for 4 of us. Our quiet days were spend working puzzles - a great way to relax. All should try the Clue puzzle - Great fun! This vacation definitely goes on the list of "best of".

This being my first time in The Keys, my daughter-in-law picked the "perfectr" spot for the following reasons:
Kayaking through the channels and seeing all of the iguanas, beautiful birds, tropical planats and fun decor
peace and serenity
Wide walking and bike paths right out the door
Best Key Lime pie from both Mangrove Mama's and the Pie company (a few miles north of here)
Mangrove Mama's also had great breakfasts, pizza, and wings. It is also 'Very pet friendly"
We hope to be back in the near future
